But unlike other Amazon Echo products, which can be purchased separately, the Amazon voice control technology on the Echo is compatible with all Alexa devices.
While the Echo speaker can control most of your smart home devices, you can also control your Echo through voice commands and a series of simple steps.
To get started, open up the Alexa app on your Echo.
You’ll see a list of Alexa devices and commands that can be used.
To control your devices, simply say, “Alexa, search for something in the list of available services.”
You’ll be directed to a list with a number of available Alexa devices that can respond to your command.
Once you have a list, you’ll want to use the search function to find the Echo, then tap the button that says “Alexas voice control.”
You will see the Amazon Assistant appear on the top of the screen.
Press the button to start the voice control session.
You will be prompted to select a command.
To repeat the command, just tap the repeat button at the bottom of the Echo screen.
You can also use the Alexa button to quickly repeat the Alexa command.
Once you’ve used all the commands, the Alexa assistant will respond.
To stop the session, press the repeat/stop button.
To exit the voice controls, press and hold the repeat / stop button until you hear the Echo say “AlexAmp.”
You can see how much time is left in the session and the results when you press the “Alexahm” button to end the session.
In addition to controlling your Alexa devices, the voice-controlled Echo can also be used to control other Amazon products.
You simply say ” Alexa, search to see what product you are looking for.”
You should also press the Amazon Home button on the side of the device to start a new voice-based search.
You then need to type a search query, such as “Amazon Home,” to see a listing of products in your Amazon shopping cart.
When you are finished searching, you will see an option to add items to your Amazon Wish List.
To add an item to your Wish List, simply select the item and tap the “Add to Wish List” button.
You should then see a checkmark beside the item to confirm its inclusion in your wish list.
After adding an item, you must choose whether or not you want to update your Amazon Echo device to include the new item.
The update process takes up to an hour, and you’ll need to restart your Echo device every time it’s updated.
If you don’t want to wait that long, you may also want to add an Alexa speaker as a backup.
You do this by selecting the Alexa device and selecting “Settings.”
Then select “Add a speaker.”
Select the Alexa speaker you want as a speaker and tap “Add.”
You can add the Alexa-controlled device to a new Echo device or add it to an existing Echo device.
You may also add it using a third-party Alexa speaker.
You can also create a new Amazon Echo Device to add to your existing Echo.
When you do this, you need to choose “Create a new device.”
You need to create a device that matches the Echo’s features and functionality.
Once the device is created, you select the Echo device and choose the option to “Add” to the device.
You then need a confirmation that you want the device in your new Echo Device, then select “OK.”
Once the Echo Device is added, you are prompted to authenticate the Echo devices connected to the Echo.
If the Echo does not recognize the Echo and you want it to start listening, simply press “OK” to confirm.
You are then prompted to choose a password for the Echo from a list.
If your Echo does recognize the device and you can successfully log in, you should be able to listen to the audio and answer questions about the device from your Echo Device.
Once your Echo devices are connected, you want them to respond to Alexa commands, too.
