For the first time, Hadoopy and its many technologies will be available to anyone who wants to get in on the action.

Hadoop is a new type of data storage.

It has no central servers, no centralized data warehouse, no central data processing.

The Hadoosts are instead stored in a distributed way in the cloud.

The cloud provides a lot more flexibility in data storage than any centralized data processing solution.
